OZ PLANET and MEROS PHARM sign a memorandum on expanding cooperation

Samarkand, Uzbekistan — On 25 February 2026 the OZ PLANET digital platform and MEROS PHARM, Uzbekistan's leading pharmaceutical distributor, signed a memorandum on expanding their strategic cooperation.
The parties agreed to increase the volume of joint deals and scale up the use of digital factoring for MEROS PHARM's suppliers.

Under the agreement, the parties plan:

  • to increase the volume of factoring operations;
  • to connect new MEROS PHARM suppliers to the digital platform;
  • to introduce international factoring to support foreign trade operations.

These initiatives will allow suppliers to get paid faster for delivered goods, while MEROS PHARM will further strengthen the resilience of its supply chain, improve purchasing terms and manage working capital more effectively.

Supporting a market leader

MEROS PHARM holds more than 20% of Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical market and is the country's largest drug distributor. The company works with hundreds of suppliers from 50 countries and has a wide network of pharmacies across the republic. The scale of its operations requires modern financial tools that ensure business resilience and stable supplies.

Bringing digital factoring into its operating model allows the company to speed up capital turnover, settle with counterparties on time and support growth without increasing its debt load. Expanding cooperation with OZ PLANET will open digital financial solutions to more MEROS PHARM partners and increase the volume of financed deals.

"We are always looking for ways to make our supply chain more resilient and efficient. Our partnership with OZ PLANET lets our suppliers get financing quickly and lets us guarantee that vital medicines are available in the country's pharmacies. We also see huge potential in international factoring for strengthening ties with our foreign partners," commented a MEROS PHARM representative.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be introducing international factoring through the OZ PLANET digital platform. This tool will help MEROS PHARM simplify settlements with foreign counterparties, reduce currency and payment risks, provide early payment to foreign suppliers and speed up new foreign drug manufacturers' entry into the Uzbek market.

Prospects for cooperation

For OZ PLANET, signing the memorandum is an important step in its strategy to expand its industry presence and develop modern financial solutions for large businesses and their partners.

"Signing a memorandum with the leader in pharmaceutical distribution is an important step in our mission to digitalize and accelerate cash flows in key sectors of Uzbekistan's economy. We are glad to offer MEROS PHARM's suppliers fast access to working capital without collateral or lengthy procedures, as well as international factoring tools that will help develop imports of quality medicines even more effectively," said Alexander Bogdanov, CEO of OZ PLANET.

The memorandum confirms the long-term nature of cooperation between OZ PLANET and MEROS PHARM and demonstrates large market players' growing trust in modern fintech solutions.
